Headed northward in my timely journey in pursuit for Spring inspiration. And indeed, through the exuberant display gardens and enthusiastic lectures, one could color me inspired.
One of the wonderful art pieces was this rustic pairing of tile art and a quote on a blackboard. How lovely.
Those whom know me realize I am a sucker for a whimsical quote especially related to my favorite topics: gardening and creativity.
Rich tapestry of vertical garden dripping with texture and color galore!
They say 'design is in the details'. How true for this patio vignette. The clock tells the story that it is always Happy Hour! At least it is somewhere in the world! :)
Wow, such rich colors provided by red twig dogwood, carex, and mexican orange 'Sundance.' Love it!
This mossy lady stole the show. If you look closely, you can see sedums growing on her hat. Wonderful.
Butchart Gardens display. Definitely on my 'bucket list. Small display, but big impact with bold colors and texture choices. Love, love, love!
Container Gardens were all the rage in Seattle. Love the bold colors.
Terrariums Gone Wild. The back-drop on these container gardens were as important as the containers themselves.

Air plants seemingly floating in the air paired with the elegant colors of white and blue. Even the soil is covered with blue and white crushed glass. Divine!
Was lucky enough to sit in on one of Dan Hinkley's lectures. What a master story-teller he is with glorious slides to punctuate his words. In the garden world, he is a rock-star!
Thanks for sharing this trip up north with me.
Cheers,
Laura :)
Very much like the show I found something that I missed the first time out. Here is my favorite container garden:

A container garden that works as an art piece is sheer brilliance. Top it off, you can find the elements at an estate sell and it won't empty your pocket book. That is CREATIVITY!
