Elk Rock Sizzles with Spring Fireworks!

Along this path of 'Elk Rock', lies all kinds of wonderful native flowers and unexpected gifts.
Forget the plum flowers and cherry blossoms, to me, the plant that proclaims that it is indeed Spring is the magnolia.  On this particular day, it had a few dew drops that glistened in the sun light.  Simply awe-inspiring.

Whom is not a sucker for a trillium?  This one was so robust and full.  Does anyone know what one might add to the soil to get it this full?

Towards the end of our lovely walk,  was this beautiful patch of 'Lawrence Crocker' daphne.  What a treasure indeed.  Evergreen, blooming all spring and summer, and is fragrant.  This plant is a triple threat: Sing, act, and dance.

If you haven't made it out to Elk Rock lately, Mother's Day is on its' way and the wisteria will be in full fruition.  Definitely worth a short drive.
Cheers,
Laura
